Historical Thinking is dedicated to provoking thoughtful discussion about the teaching and learning of history, particularly at the secondary and undergraduate level. The blog is tied to the New England History Teachers’ Association, the oldest United States professional organization designed to support the teaching of history (founded in 1897), and is managed by Charles L. Newhall, the current president of NEHTA.
